Nadi Pariksha diagnosis differs not because it is incorrect, but because it is accurate.
A MBBS medical student in Chennai developed pain in his right mid back region. Being an MBBS student in a college to which a hospital was attached, he went and showed himself to the doctors. They examined him and arrived at the conclusion that it was a trapezius muscle strain and prescribed him a spinal nerve relaxant drug along with pantoprazole.
I was teaching Nadi Pariksha in Chennai, barely fifteen minutes from his college. Our families know each other and he knew of my whereabouts. So, he called me to visit. During our conversation, he mentioned of the pain and the discomfort it caused. I examined his nadi and realised that the problem was caused due to overeating and due to consumption of junk food. Upon enquiring with him, he said that he had eaten at McD, a famous restaurant. Next, I performed Marma Chikitsa on him and his pain was gone. He expressed relief and while bidding adeiu, he said that he will visit me the next day also.
The next late afternoon he came to see me. While talking I enquired about his pain and discomfort. He said that the pain had gone, but it reoccurred. I was inquisitive and checked his nadi again. It showed new abuse. When I enquired, he said that the previous evening, the restaurant had closed, and so he went to McD again and ate a burger. I had to warn him and he heeded to my advice and abstained from further eating.
The third day, he arrived with no pain. Annam Brahmam is what we say, meaning, food is divine. We mustn’t play with food to make unhealthy varieties. The body will suffer.
The medical student participated in a marathon the same day and completed his first 5K run.
Conclusion
The medicines that were prescribed by his college doctors were not only unnecessary, but were potentially harmful for the liver, considering that his problem was not even muscular. Through Nadi Pariksha we were able to identify the cause and remedy it.
