Fatty liver spiral: Health Minister J P Nadda says ICMR study shows over 84% of IT sector employees in Hyderabad have the condition

More than 84 per cent of IT sector employees in Hyderabad had increased liver fat, indicating a condition called the MAFLD (or Metabolic Dysfunction Associated Fatty Liver Disease). This was the statement the Health Minister J P Nadda said about the ICMR study.

We, from NCIAS (Nadichikitsa Institute For Ayurvedic Studies) recently studied health pattern of over five hundred IT employees of a global IT firm in several locations in India. What our Health Minister said is not alarming. When we put the data together, we could hardly find ten healthy people. Most employees have a fatty and enlarged liver, acid reflux, sleep disorders, and lower back pain, and everyone is taking an annual health checkup, which is mandated by their employee insurance rules. There seems to be no visible outcome other than the medical report. What’s the use?

We went to the cafeteria and observed as the employees were gorging on their plate full of paneer, rice, chapati and chick peas gravy. These were the very people we had checked and here they were, trying to satisfy their mental craving with food.

Food addiction is a habit which the IT employees have hooked onto. The fat salaries they get is the only reason most people join IT companies. They are not happy and they don’t care about their health as long as they are getting their salaries using which they will get their homes on loan. Then, they hunt for jobs that can help them earn more so that they can save some and spend more. Food, money, shopping, liquor, cigarette, cannabis, pornography… It’s one addiction after another. There is a very thin population of employees who actually love what they do.

We explored the root cause of Fatty liver

When we worked on the figures, which we had categorised according to emotional stress, we found that 100% of the employees had metabolic disorders. Of them 86.3% had a prognosis of hypertension, 72% had prognosis of heart related symptoms, 55% had diabetes, and 30% had reproductive disorders. When we matched them with the emotional stress, we found over 34% were frustrated, 27.7% were sad and depressed, 24.2% were unhappy, 11.6% were restless and anxious, only 1.7% were happy.

It is not that no one knows what is happening. Everyone knows where the problem is! Everyone is trying to keep it alive by milking the employees with insurance schemes with regular medical checkups and bringing lucratively priced real estate. The whole system is based on fear.

So, it is better to assess your health through a system that was designed thousands of years ago to investigate the root cause and bring the patient back to good health. Ayurveda is the answer that professionals want to brush aside as a pseudo-science. It is not a science. It is a knowledge system of sound health and healing. At the centre of the investigation is Nadi Pariksha. It is the system that can find out what causes your symptoms and also reveals how it can be fixed.
