How will vaidyas benefit from the Nadichikitsa app?
The world of Ayurveda is fast catching up with modern medicine. It is also taking the help of all modern medical equipment—be it CT scans, MRI, blood tests, or other scans and reports. But what is the one thing that separates Ayurveda from modern medicine? What is that one unique feature Ayurveda has that modern medicine doesn’t? It is Nadi pariksha, which is wrongly defined as pulse diagnosis.
Although the pulse is part of it, Nadi is not just the pulse. Nadi refers to the entire network of tubes, conduits, nerves, blood vessels, and capillaries—literally everything that can carry impulses, fluids, or anything that transmits signals throughout the body. Nadipariksha is one such diagnostic method that can help identify the root cause of illnesses. This means that a Vaidya who knows Nadipariksha is sought after, because he/she can identify illnesses much before they manifest in the body. He can forewarn his patients and thereby provide the necessary antidote to prevent the eventual onset of the ailment.
“A Vaidya who knows Nadipariksha is sought after, because he/she can identify illnesses much before they manifest and forewarn his patients.
Like the olden days, even today people can live healthier lives. In modern medicine, people may stay alive longer, but not necessarily healthier. In Ayurveda, however, both health and longevity are considered equally important.
At Nadichikitsa, we have spent two decades researching Nadipariksha and have collected extensive data, which has now been condensed into an app where all the different variations of Nadis are recorded. This app helps a Vaidya diagnose and evaluate a patient’s overall health—including physiological, psychological, emotional, and mental states.
After collecting this data, the Vaidya inputs it in Samskritam/Sanskrit script into the app. The app then evaluates the input and generates an analysis for the Nadipariksha reading. This evaluation gives you the understanding of the the functioning of all the organs, tissues, and the mental, emotional, and psychological states of the patient. A treatment plan is then generated using the app. This plan is comprehensive and includes dietary restrictions, medicines, prescriptions, and Manochikitsa, or therapies that free the mind from reflections of past sorrows and trauma.
At Nadichikitsa, we are working to revive all the values of the traditional practice of Nadipariksha—by incorporating this app and training the Vaidya through formal training and a three-month internship. This will enhance the Vaidya’s self-worth and self-respect.
We aim to bring the golden era of Ayurveda back to Bharat.
