Nadi Pariksha

Nadi pariksha

Nādi Pariksha is a diagnostic practice in Ayurveda to find the root cause of any ailment and illness in the body. The word Nādi means “artery” and Pariksha means “to examine”. It is all called as Pulse Diagnosis. According to Vedic and Yoga texts, there are 72000 or 72000 pairs of Nādi. There is no clarity on this number.

The entire body is a web of Nādi which are big, long, thick, thin as well as minuscule and microscopic. There are different names given to channels in the body. They are called; snaayu (ligaments and tendons that bind joints together and nerves),  Nādi(artery)Vasā(brain and bone marrow)Himsrā(vein)Dhamani(arteries)Dhāmani(heart)Dharātantuki(vein), jiivitajnya (artery)andSirā (veins).

So, blood vessels meaning arteries, veins, capillaries, ligaments and tendons, and any tubular organ in the body together are not called Nādi. All creatures have Nādi.

When you get your NādiParikshado not tell anything about yourself excepting your name and age. The diagnosis will reveal every symptom you have been experiencing. The diagnosis will also reveal to you the root cause of the symptom. “Identifying the root cause of your symptoms and reversing it so that you regain your good health  is our core work and this is what we do best. “

NādiPariksha can be performed on children from a very early age.

NādiPariksha should never be done with the patient standing, talking, watching television, reading, or for that matter while performing any activity.

While checking Prakrti of a person, the patient must not bathe, exercise, perform Yogāsana, Prānayama, or indulge in any kind of prayer, chanting, reading, writing or any activity whatsoever.
