What would you do if your room did not have windows?

exhausted-man

Very recently, a client of mine planned her holiday to Singapore. Before she left, she visited me seeking help to improve her digestion so that she can eat everything she wanted to and asked me to help her in a way that she’d not have any symptoms after she had satisfied her taste buds. It was a rather unusual request.

Well, I helped her with Marmayoga Chikitsa, a process to help harmonise flow of Prana so that the body develops more resilience and tolerant. However, I cautioned her from abusing her body.

She reached Singapore and there were frantic messages from her saying that she was feeling claustrophobic because the rooms allotted to her didn’t have windows.

What would one do in a room without windows?

Some people find it a huge challenge. It’s almost a feeling of chocking to death.

Marmayoga Chikitsa is a lifesaver. Here’s a practice you can do so that your lungs can absorb more oxygen instantly and help you breathe easy.

Place your right hand with fingers extended on your left chest and your left hand on your right chest. Now, press applying moderate pressure and rotate outward 9 times on both sides at the same time. Now reverse the rotation to onwards 9 times. That’s it.

Doing this practice will help you develop your self confidence. The more self confidence you have, the less your dependence on medication.

Within a few days, your body and mind will heal and you won’t ever feel claustrophobic and you’ll definitely not need medication.

In all your future holidays, you’ll feel free. Breathe easy.

Happy holidaying

Medical tourism market is estimated to be valued at $ 4 billion

nadi-pariksha-hand

Foreigners come to India for tourism of 3 kinds…

Medical, Healthcare and Wellness.

#Medicaltourism has to do mainly with modern medical hospitals offering globally comparative low cost medical treatment and facility.

#Healthcare and #Wellness Tourism are main attractions of alternative medicine such as Ayurveda.

With #Ayurveda centres opening worldwide, what is it India can offer that is native and traditional. And that is #NadiPariksha.

Chinese and Tibetan medicine practitioners have scored an edge with their pulse diagnosis technique so well that they are an a select breed of practitioners today who command a market share.

Ayurveda Doctors are still battling it out after internship in modern medical hospitals. When they are fresh in the market, they’re mostly lost between Ayurveda and Modern Medicine.

Nadi Chikitsa Wellness Pvt Ltd has taken a serious initiative to train Ayurveda Doctors in Nadi Pariksha. The future holds many bright opportunities for us to capitalise on, says #MaheshKrishnamurthy, Director of #NadiChikitsa Wellness Pvt Ltd. Visit http://nadichikitsa.com/

#Healthcare and #Wellness Tourism is under-utilised by Ayurveda Doctors. With Ayurveda’s traditional diagnostic technique #NadiPariksha, we can have an edge over other countries offering Ayurvedic Treatments and Therapies that are on the common ground.

She was running 5k every morning when this happened to her

She had suffered a severe bout of migraine. A friend of her’s, who had just called her realised something was wrong and directed her call my office and schedule a consultation.

When she walked in, I saw a very fit and trim woman introduce herself. She was an avid golfer and a marathoner. She’d never had a migraine before and when it occurred, she didn’t know what was happening to her. Her vision went blur and she couldn’t hold herself together.

So, I seated her and performed her Nadi Pariksha (Ayurvedic Pulse Diagnosis). What I found didn’t surprise me, but I saw somethings happening in her body which made me enquire about her running.

She told me that she had recently developed pain in her knees. So, she visited an orthopaedic. The doctor told her that her knees were wearing out because she was running on uneven ground and that her problem aggravated with the thin sole shoes she was wearing on her runs. Her knees had begun to arrest her running. So, the doctor advised her to run on even ground and also wear thick soles shoes. She was uncomfortable with both of these suggestions. She didn’t know what to do.

I found this hard to believe. Let us infuse some hard truths into our brains. We’re a species called homo-erectus. This means, we’re a species that are meant to stand straight and running is one of the natural given abilities. And we have a pelvis (hip bone) which tilts and balances the body while the body is running through uneven ground. So, technically what the doctor said couldn’t be scientifically appropriate.

My diagnosis revealed that she was short tempered, had had challenges in her relationships. She was a go getter and very stubborn. Her sense of discipline and etiquette were high on priority. And she was angry because of her unfulfilled desires.

A verse in Ayurveda texts reads;

When a desire is left unfulfilled, feelings of unhappiness, apprehension and fear begin to manifest in the mind. These feelings cause anger and frustration which manifest as symptoms in the body.

So, I enquired about her past and she said that it all started when she was handling her second pregnancy. She didn’t have her husband’s support. He was traveling. She felt all alone. This made her feel very sad. She then wondered, what if she couldn’t resume her career soon enough. She began to demand time from her husband and this led them to quarrel frequently. Her anger and frustration increased. She got back to her career. She was successful. But her bosses gave her repetitive feedback that she was very aggressive. She couldn’t understand how. Now she had stiffness in her knee’s ligaments and tendons which created pain. Even her migraines happened for the same reason.

In my opinion, it had nothing to do with her running on uneven ground.

So, I suggested that she work on releasing her anger and also I performed Marma Chikitsa ( An superfast ayurvedic therapy to remedy aches and pains in the body and restore health) on her to improve her quality of sleep and restore her knees.

She took the therapies and treatments without delay. On day 3, she ran with her thin sole shoes and on uneven ground. Not only did she not have knee pain, she clocked the best time ever on a 5km run.

Never assume that your doctor knows it all. You must consult a Vaidya (knowledgeable healer) who knows how to find out what your body is going through and also suggests appropriate remedies. And such diagnosis is only available in Ayurveda.

His life was straight out of a movie

The other day, a principal of a reputed school called me seeking help for one of her students, a boy of 13 years. She said the boy’s parents were crying for help and that they were sitting in front of her. So, I slotted an appointment for them to come and see me the same afternoon.

The family came in. As usual the boy’s parents began complaining how their son was absenting himself from school.

I spoke to the boy in front of them. His answers were in whispers which at times I could barely hear. After about 15 minutes, I asked his parents to sit outside and had a one-to-one conversation with the boy. At first, he was hesitant. When I assured him that I don’t judge people, he began interacting.

From the hour long interaction I had with him, I realised that the boy feels unloved by his parents. He feels his parents didn’t want him. He also shared with me that he was in a hostel for two years. His story made me feel that his life was straight out of the Tare Zameen Par movie.

My interaction with the boy was almost over. I asked him to sit outside and asked for his parents to come in. When I asked his parents what they thought about their son, the father said, he wanted his son to become a doctor.

The principal had mentioned that the boy was an intelligent child and scored very well. So, I didn’t know where the problem was. And I asked the boy’s parents to continue telling me about their son. When the husband and wife started sharing information sometimes individually and sometimes together, I pieced the information together. That’s when I realised what was happening with the boy.

To make their son more studious, the parents consciously neglected him. They shared with him pictures of them with their relatives children only to get their son to be even more studious. What his parents did frustrated the boy and his mind became restless. He didn’t know where to turn to for help. He began locking himself up in his room and slept all day.

He created his comfort space. He realised he needn’t get out of his room and face the world. So, he slept all day. At night, he’d stay awake watching movies.

His parents simply didn’t get it. The father pursued his desire to make his son a doctor and put him in boarding. The first year went by. At the end of the second year, the boy refused to go back to boarding. So, they put him into this school.

I asked the boy’s mother what she felt about putting the boy into boarding and she said, she wasn’t even asked. Decision was taken by her husband.

Now that he wasn’t attending school, the father was contemplating on putting him back in boarding.

I spoke to the boy’s parents and asked them whether they were ready to lose their son! Further, I asked them what difference does it make to them with what he grew up to become! Their son was studious and responsible. I helped them see a different perspective, a different way to address the situation on hand. They saw a new possibility.

As a matter of chance I asked them, how many times have you taken your child on a holiday! They said… never.

To me, this boy was on the brink of depression. The principal had saved him in the nick of time by getting help to him.

I suggested that they first restore their love for their son and then take their son out on a picnic.

In the evening the family came and this time their daughter was also present. The father came to show himself. I performed his Nadi Pariksha. After the diagnosis, I asked him, how important is others opinion of you to you? In different words he said that was all that mattered. We had nailed the root cause of the boy’s condition.

My work with the boy’s father took more time that what I took with the boy. My work with the boy was accomplished and work with his father has just begun.

Two days later I called the principal to give an update. She answered my phone call and said I’ve done a miracle. I asked her to clarify her statement. She said, the boy has resumed school. She also mentioned that the way he wishes her a good morning reassured her that the boy was okay.

Many a time, we as parents assume that we know it all and take action which at times backfires on our children. How much do we really know? I’d like to answer this question for you… actually we know nothing. Give your children a chance. Listen to your children patiently. If you can’t do that, find someone who can help you listen to your children and also get your children back on track.

You are the best example your children can find in this world. So, be the best parent they can ever find.

He healed others but this happened to him

Man thinking

A person in his 50’s came to me for a consultation. He saw how his wife recovered in my clinic from body pains and so, he sought a consultation for himself.

I performed his Nadi Pariksha (Ayurvedic Pulse Diagnosis). I found that he had low self worth, insecurities and as a result, he had digestive issues and disturbed sleep.

When I narrated these, he agreed in totality. He told me that he was a healer himself and that he had several subconscious and spiritual tools that he used on several people and they healed most people of their problems.

The problem he faced was that, all of the therapies he used worked on anyone and his clients get wonderful results. But when he applied these tools on himself, it wouldn’t work. He was perplexed and didn’t seem to realise where the problem was.

The process of diagnosis I use is one of the best in the world and beats most of the other diagnostic techniques.

I’ve had experience of picking up functional abnormalities in the heart due to a drug reaction In a patient in the ICU of a Bangalore based hospital. The heart machine itself picked up this abnormality some 48 hours after Nadi Pariksha revealed it.

Looking at the diagnosis, I was able to show him the cause of his insecurity and his inability to believe in the therapies he practices because, they did not produce tangible and measurable results. And he was always using his analytical skills to measure the outcomes. And when that didn’t happen, he lost faith.

The reason the therapies worked on others was because of their faith in my client.

This understanding brought a new wave of clarity on him and my client now is coming to resolve his core issues that prevent him from being the best at what he does.

Every successful person goes through his highs and lows and what’s important is that they too need healing sometimes that can help them bounce back and take charge of their life once again.

His mother cried when she was told this

A boy of 19 years was brought by his mother for a consultation. He was only 6 years of age when he began complaining of discomfort in his abdomen. Doctors diagnosed his condition as appendicitis and operated on him body and removed his appendix.

It was only when his pain resumed that his parents realised that his appendix wasn’t the issue at all.

Unable to bear his abdominal pain he’d roll on the bed. His parents were seeking help and they came in for a consultation which, for them, was one more try.

After performing his Nadi Pariksha, which happened during my Nadi Pariksha Coaching Programme at Ludhiana, my students who are Ayurveda Doctors and me discussed his case.

His mother cried when she cane to know that he didn’t need another surgery.

Embrace happiness before you lose it to illness

Embrace your happiness before you lose it to an illness

I see people everyday. Many of the people who come to consult with me are facing high fasting blood sugar levels, high blood pressure, body pains, lack of sound sleep and several other symptoms that seem to have erupted out of thin air. They have a good job that pays them handsomely, their families are happy and yet, they suffer.

He one thing thats common amongst all these people is that they are in the wanting to do what they love doing. They look so tired from doing their mundane jobs that only finance their lifestyle but doesn’t fire their passion that they fail to understand what’s wrong and where. And how can they come out of this suffering.

One such person came to me for a consultation. He looked okay but he wasn’t cheerful. So, I performed his Nadi Pariksha (Ayurvedic Pulse Diagnosis that can also reveal redundant habits, mental patterns, attitudes and your dysfunctional parts of your personality). The diagnosis revealed that he was agitated, frustrated and he was losing sleep. He also had stiffness in his neck, increasing fasting blood sugar levels and high blood pressure.

When I discussed my diagnosis with him, he wasn’t surprised. He knew why his body was throwing out these symptoms, but he wasn’t prepared to do what he so much wanted to.

He loved teaching but, he knew it would pay him only a fraction of what his current job was paying. So, he very meticulous planned for years so that he could get to living his passion. He had achieved financial independence so that his lifestyle will not fluctuate even if he failed in his assignment. Yet, his thoughts were messing up his mornings and he would sometimes be awake in the night thinking “how am I going to do this?”

Look at yourself. Have you also been hanging in such a situation and for long?

I was recently watching a video my friend made. She made a profound statement.. The how about everything is a trap. It just keeps you hanging in that space.

It’s so true. We just keep thinking how we are going to do without actually getting up and doing what we need to. The how, is such a waste of time.

Isn’t it your fear about how your future will turn out to be that stops you from doing and keeps you in the how? It’s such a powerful habit that stops you from being you.

We are all so outcome focussed because that’s what we are taught in elementary school, in business school, literally everywhere.

Instead of focusing on life by way of measuring outcomes, if you can re-orient your approach towards life to become action centric, then the results will just turn out to be not just fine but, you’ll actually begin enjoying life.

When I assist people to take that most important step, they feel it’s a free fall. They fear. They so much want to hold onto their old habits that kept them stuck. And, when they have no choice but to face their new challenges, an inner strength comes forth which takes over their pessimism and fuels their present with a new energy. They feel liberated from their shackles of unnecessary thinking. They begin to act spontaneously. In their spontaneity, healing happens.

When life happens, the body heals and supports your every step.

It’s such a wonderful feeling. Life is never for-giving. Life is for living.

Isn’t it time you took the next step?

She began wailing when she knew she just needed to love herself

woman-in-pain

Stiffnesses in the body, aches and pains are becoming a common occurrence these days. What is more alarming is that people in their mid thirties and forties are the ones who are complaining more about these symptoms.

Are you one of them who has stiffness or a sore neck or a back spasm? You’ll be surprised when you know what may be causing your stiffness and soreness in your neck and back.

A lady in her mid thirties came for a consultation. I performed her Nadi Pariksha. I studied my diagnosis and found that she had pain and suffering in her relationships and then she wasn’t sleeping well at all. She also had stiffness and discomfort in her neck and lower back.

She probably did not have a system to release her stress from her work and what she was accumulating at home.

Many women find themselves at odds against the family and find no other alternative but to give into the situation and carry on. They divert their mind in their work. This way the women are able to avoid confrontation but, in the bargain, the gap in their heart widens leaving them lacking in love and self worth and very stressed.

I chose to help this client by introducing her to a practice that will bring her back to loving herself and increase her self worth. These are a set of two mentally calming practices called the “Maypole Meditation” and “Connect With Your Cosmic Parents“.

I took her through the practices and she broke into tears and began wailing the moment she needed to embrace herself with love and accept herself despite all that had happened.

No one had ever told her in a long time how much she is loved and cared for.  She was just giving and giving and making others happy.

With these two practices, she knew what is more important for her right now. She just needed to embrace herself with love and accept herself. Everything else is secondary.

I followed up with Marma Chikitsa Therapy on her to relieve her pains and to remedy her disturbed sleep.

It’s just been a few days! She is sleeping well, her stiffness, aches and pains have almost left her and she can’t hide her childlike smile on her face.

Life is always giving back to you what you so desire. Whatever you choose to embrace, life simply responds.

How wonderful it’d be, if we always choose love and laughter over everything else.

It is possible to do so and live life beautifully just like you dream every now and then.

He coughed for over an hour and this happened

Chronic cough can be cured

Yesterday a person came to me and asked whether his chronic cough can be cured. His symptom was so severe that after coughing non-stop for more than an hour, he became giddy and breathless. His abdominal muscles became sore and he felt extremely tired. He experienced fainting twice before. Two months ago, he was also admitted in a hospital due to an episode of chronic cough and fainting. He is married and has two children. He is the sole bread earner of the family.

His symptoms has persisted for over 3 months. He underwent medical tests.  Pulmonologists diagnosed his condition as an allergy and suggested that he take antihistamines and at times nebulisers. The medicines worked for three to four days and then, he was back with his terrible cough.

I did his Nadi Pariksha and found out that he was frustrated, had low self worth, low self esteem and did not love his current job. I asked him to express what had happened. His history dated back to his childhood. His mother had left him and his father had to put him in a foster home for a few years where he was not looked after well. HIs experience from his childhood had created in him a sense of feeling rejected. One after the other, his problems continued. His current boss at work too is mean to him and his role in the company is something he does not cherish. He wants to establish a retail pharmaceutical unit but is scared to death with the idea of doing something without support. With all these thoughts in his head, he was frustrated. He had not shared these feelings and held it all within him.

Emotional frustration causes your diaphragm to contract preventing your lungs from expanding. Frustration also causes abdominal cramping or abdominal muscles to become tight. So, the air in the lungs that is used up, cannot be expelled completely. As pressure builds up in the lungs, cough results. This is the body’s autonomous way of expelling carbon-dioxide. Over time, the symptom becomes chronic and may require him to be on a ventilator.

Keeping in mind his emotional and psychological condition, I asked him to listen to Connect With Your Cosmic Parents Audio Guide. This audio guide provided him with a sense of assurance, security and certainty. He felt a little calm. Then I performed Marma Chikitsa on him. He sat in my office for the next one and a half hours barely coughing.

He came today bringing his wife for a consultation with me. He is feeling much better.

Medicine is not the remedy for all health conditions. It is important to diagnose the root cause and then start the treatment. That, in my view, is the most appropriate way of restoring health.
