Cervical Spondylitis

Today a person came with a bulged disc in between his cervical vertebrae C3-C4 and C4-C5. He said he was doing Suryanamaskara (sun salutations) when he felt a crick in his neck and then he had radiating pains in his shoulders and arms.

He consulted 6 modern medical doctor and  specialists all of whom suggested surgery. He was confused and so he sought help from his nephew who brought him to me. I studied his pulse with Nadi Pariksha and realised that he did not have to go through a surgery. His nerves were definitely impacted but he didn’t need surgery.

I further studied his MRI scans and reports, all of which indicated a disc bulge.

Cervical Spondylitis

Cervical Spondylitis occurs due to several preliminary causes. Some of these are gastritis, constipation, improper secretion of bile in the gall bladder. Treating the cervical (neck) region will not solve the problem.

There is no direct evidence suggesting that bad sitting posture, working long hours in front of the computer are among the causes for Cervical Spondylitis.

We need to treat the root cause which in my client’s case was gastritis, improper secretion of bile from the gall bladder and improper absorption in the small intestines.

I have worked with several clients who have come with cervical spondylitis and they have been cured. Some of the remedies that really provide relief and cure are;

  • Marma Chikitsa –  and/or
  • Ayurvedic Remedies such as-
    • Griva Vasti
    • Patra Pinda Sweda with Laghu Abhyanga

Ayurveda has some of the best remedies when treating Cervical Spondylitis.

A Nadi Pariksha is beneficial in identifying the root cause of Cervical Spondylitis.
